Application Engineer – Medical Imaging

Briljant Rekrytering is proud to partner with ContextVision, a global leader in advanced image enhancement software for medical imaging, in the search for an experienced Application Engineer.

This is a pivotal role within the Application Services team, where you will contribute directly to enable high-quality imaging solutions for leading international medical technology companies within ultrasound and X-ray.

The Role

As an Application Engineer, you will manage external customer projects and serve as the technical expert on image quality. You will work closely with customers throughout the full project lifecycleand support them in a wide range of cases which includes integrating and customizing ContextVision’s software on-site, solving technical challenges, and ensuring optimal image performance.

Your customer insights and hands‑on experience will be crucial in guiding product development and validating the impact and value of our internal innovations.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing and driving customer projects in a structured and efficient manner
  • Implementing and customizing image enhancementsoftware into customer systems
  • Solving advanced technical challenges related to image quality and performance
  • Acting as the trusted advisor to customers on image optimization
  • Translating customer needs, ambitions, and concerns into actionable input for the product development
  • Participating in product development projects

This is a cross-functional position where you act as the bridge between Sales and R&D, ensuring that customer insights are transformed into competitive and high-performing solutions.

You will operate in an agile environment alongside highly skilled colleagues with deep expertise in imaging technology and software development.

Your Profile

We are looking for a technically strong and customer-focused professional with a genuine interest in understanding the clinical and user perspective. You are comfortable navigating complex technical discussions and can communicate clearly across disciplines, cultures, and organizational levels.

You combine analytical depth with practical execution and thrive in environments where innovation and customer value are closely connected.

We Believe You Have

  • MSc in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar Application Engineer or technical customer-facing role
  • Experience working in service-oriented functions with a strong understanding of the end-user perspective
  • Solid knowledge of image processing or medical imaging quality (experience in X-ray or ultrasound is highly meritorious)
  • Experience in product validation
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to drive structured progress
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling you to translate complex technical information between customers and development teams
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building capabilities across cultures
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written

A clinical interest or background is considered a strong advantage.
